I liked the idea of piece of jewellery that was not flat but a form that you look into, much like a cave where you can discover something inside. With my fine silver forms I use precious metal clay which allows me use the material in the same way as clay which is wonderful for creating organic forms, ideal for this piece.
This unique piece features a hand formed
fine silver hollow "cave" that hase been oxidised to emphasize the outer
texture as well as creating the illusion of depth within the "cave".
Inside there are 4 fresh water pearls to give an extra element of
interest. The chain and clasp are sterling silver and finished off with
another fresh water pearl at the back attached to an 1.5cm extender
chain.
