Before I had taken up jewellery I had studied art and design at Colchester Institute from there I went onto study three dimensional multi-disciplinary design at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University. There I had the opportunity to study a wide range of design disciplines such as jewellery to sculpture to interior design.
The jewellery that I make is all hand made using precious metals and semi and precious stones. The techniques that I use come from traditional silver smithing, bead string, wire wrapping and the use of precious metal clay. All my pieces are hallmarked in accordance with regulations.
My influences come from nature, historical and jewellery from around the world. I like to create pieces that are simple and unique that has a timeless quality to them that will compliment any outfit. Colour is a very important part of my work. I tend use a palette of either monochrome or strikingly contrasting colours. My pieces in price range from £20 to £180. Currently I am selling my pieces small shops and galleries around Essex. If you would like to purchase or commision a piece please email me on: helsbells123@googlemail.com
